Feeling Touristy Today
What a pretty day in Sioux Falls, South Dakota!
We’ve had a lot of rain here lately and it’s led to a bit of cabin fever on my part. After weeks of complaining that “we never DO anything”, my darling husband requested that I take a half-day off work so we could indeed do something outside our normal routine.
We decided to visit the waterfalls that are our city’s namesake.
It looks more like rapids than falls at the moment. The runoff has really increased the volume of water to higher than I’ve seen it.
We checked out the “Monarch of the Plains” statue and enjoyed arguing over whether the word bison or the word buffalo was the preferred term here in South Dakota. It’s definitely a bison, but from as long as I remember everyone around here calls it a buffalo. It’s even called a buffalo on the statue.
But that isn’t the only animal we saw at Falls Park. Look at these cute little guys!

oo that landscape is beaiful! i love the rocks sticking up out of the grass. and this little animals are adorabe!
I wish we had some rain too. It gets cloudy every evening but still nothing.
Love the last picture!
